A&S Trucking Service, Inc was founded in 1982 as a regional, service intensive, dry & refrigerated carrier providing services to established manu-facturers in Maryland's Hunt Valley Industrial Complex in northern Baltimore County.

The company’s founders had numerous years of experience in transportation and executive management with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. In fact, the family of William D. Schmidt, Sr., one of the original principals, has origins in transportation dating back to the turn of the 20th Century in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. Mr. Schmidt and sons remain active in the business today.
